Thought Ancient Ones took note of time They synchronized events to chime When Nature’s rhythms writhe and dance They welcomed the auspicious chance Their festivals, poems and songs Were made to neutralize the wrongs When all the moods and seasons played Special prayers to deities they made We can, like them tune happily With every ounce of energy Prayer O Lord, you offer endless opportunities in time to worship Thee; grant that we may not squander these with distractions wherein our love for Thee strays.
