Thought
What a wondrous thing it is
To watch a bird in flight
Against the blueness of the sky
As sun awakens from its sleep.
All nature’s children turn to it
Drinking in its rays of light
Arise awake and feel the life,
Of every heartbeat in its leap
Dwell and ponder how it be,
That the tiny wriggling worm
Knows exactly what to do,
Without a course in worm hood.
Bird, worm, and watcher too,
Driven on by freedom’s call,
Urging nature’s helping hand
To reach full knowledge held.
Prayer
O Lord, when I am not distracted by selfish gain, I see how wonderfully you have arranged all provisions patterns and themes. You have supplied all the resources to every creature for the pursuit and discovery of freedom. Glory and honour to Thee.
