Thought
How beautiful the bright full moon
Whose landscape gently smiles at us
She only knows her mystic ways
Of hollows hills and deep valleys
When dark night’s dawn took bites and bit
Earth makes her gracious dance with it
Measured cycle comes and goes
Then round again the full moon glows
Nocturnal lamp from high above
Enchanting reflections on watery scene
Moves poets’ hearts and by her light
Distils mind’s rays for deep insight
Prayer
O Lord, in rhythmic cycles given for my eyes to bathe in, make my mind purer than the pure full moon let it ever rest in thee.
