Thought
Cutting wood to use and sell
For meagre wage at market stall
But if you knew what was within
You would a new venture begin
Exploring beyond the safe surrounds
There fragrant sandal wood abounds
But do not end your journey there
Silver waits for those who dare
And if inner urge will take you on
Gold and shining diamonds found
In deeper search why hesitate?
Take deeper breath and concentrate
Courage armed with sword of name
Severs bonds that make you lame
Striding with spirit of pioneer
Conquer forest and conquer fear
Demons that stopped the treasure hunt
Were made by you, by you made silent
Prayer
O Lord, my normal life has a dark background like an unknown forest. Grant me the courage to venture beyond my small world of pain and pleasure and seek your unfolding treasures within. Grant that I may seek Thee knowing that you were waiting for me all along and were with me on the journey, revealing every step.
