Thought

Like blowing winds that shift

Dark collected clouds to drift

Like brittle twigs, boughs to snap

Applauding with a thunder clap

Uprooting trees that stood for years

Is disabled mind, obsessed by fears

Why should we be swept like that?

What if the wind blows off your hat?

When God is there to hold to fast

No sanity can fear wind blast

Devotion, love armed with His name

Strength and joy to play His game

The ever blowing wind of grace

As harnessed power will fear efface

Two swords King Janaka used to fence

Knowledge and action were his defence

Nothing can frighten one with skill

Of an expert player who fears no ill

Prayer

O Lord, you are always here and one without a second. Grant that I may hold onto Thy feet and always chant Thy name. If I am to be swept away, let it not be by fear but by love.
