Thought
Some step to seventh floor
There to stay unending
Some climb up and down
To lower floors descending
Playful and adoring glances
Calling to enchanting Lord
Whose lips play sweet on flute
In settings pastoral is adored
He made a homely dwelling
In every being field and heart
Presented as all living things
As every quarter – every part
Does a meditator meet his god
Only when his eyes are closed?
Can he not meet Him all around
As all sights and sounds disclosed?
Prayer
O Lord I see Thy beaming face as sun, Thy cooling eye of moon. Thy swift feet in flight of birds, Thy loyal faith in ground. Thy whispering words in breeze; infinite grace as sea; in every living being – it is only Thee and Thee and Thee.
