True temple blood and flesh
If not honoured will enmesh
In wars that spill these things
Usurping thrones - crowning kings
Light a flame spread as call
Peace, strength and warmth for all
Thanks and praise offered thus
In Hebrew verse and sung chorus
Each candle on menorah’s frame
Adds to the lighter’s inner flame
Rededicating cold wintertime
Eight days toward one light divine
Prayer
O Lord all praise and thanks for Thy glory that is hidden from my eyes when I act out of ownership and agency. Destroy the dark of my ignorance and grant that I may light a nightly flame of rededication and renewal so that I may ever gaze on Thy loving face and form.
