Thought
Out of wonder and curiosity
To uncover what’s reality,
Tracing from effect to cause
Then the other way and pause.
When aught nor naught was there,
Nor bright sky view to share,
Nor heaven’s broad roof above
Stirred from what and from whereof?
Black ocean darkness covering
Without wind breath beginning
One existing none else distinct,
None born or living or extinct.
Who really knows and who proclaim,
From where birth and creation came?
How were deities born from thought?
How universe - its forms were brought?
That One surely knows it all
Of ocean’s dark waves’ rise and fall
Perhaps It knows the secret’s echo,
Or oblivious also doesn’t know?

Prayer
O Lord mysterious and formless. Grant Thy gift of standing alone in and as Thee – my origin, pure Being, one without a second, unbroken by time and unbounded by space.
