Thought
Filtering of solar rays that pass,
Through panels of transparent glass
All these years no tax was charged,
For sun’s transit, visas not required.
Glass panels changing constitution,
Unanimously passed a resolution,
“From hereon we do proclaim -
The sun can no longer pass again!”
Panes jostled in their intervention.
Glass shattered in every direction.
Despite resistance in embattled fray
The glorious sun shone anyway.
Prayer
O Lord undivided and ever shining, Thou art immanent and transcendent from my small view, but neither from Thine. Grant that by Thy light by which I see – I may clearly behold that vision without division, change or boundary.
