Thought
Who gives gifts and dispels fears?
Quenching fires of vale of tears
Overwhelming joys cascade
On those who shelter in her shade
Who carries us despite our faults?
Across the stormy ocean waves
Whose power veiled in modesty
Offers faltering minds, a sanctuary
Whose purity was fused with light
Whose talk of Him Her one delight
In Him Her thoughts are soaked
Her glory shines as Mother cloaked
Only mother’s love could show
For every child both high and low
From deep heart’s mercy bestows
Devotion, knowledge and repose
Unworthy ones in lap she holds
Her loving arms round them enfolds
Those misty veils that once obscured
Replaced by face so we’re assured
Prayer
O Mother, I can only gaze on Thy face and bathe in Thy love. Truly you are our own Mother. I do not have to be deserving of Thy grace. You have hidden Thy grandeur from me so that I may feel Thy motherly embrace.
