On Little Christmas women rest
Feeling free to laugh and jest
To celebrate Christ’s mystic sign
Transforming water into wine
Gold frankincense and myrrh
From Persian magi following star
For theophany on infant shower
Symbols of sovereignty and power
This day past in cool waters of river
Spirit inspired Christ’s message deliver
Of mankind’s salvation again to begin
With good news of a kingdom within
Twelve days came and have gone
Gather up threads - time to move on
To live and learn from lessons drawn
On foundations for an awakened dawn
Prayer
O Lord I renew my spirit for a new age of light. Forgive my impatience and doubt. Grant that I may leave the ghosts of the past behind. Lead on at the helm into a future of brightness and hope where Thy glory shines and Thy graces unfold.
