Thought
What power lies in seed
What mysteries behold
Smaller than a tiny grain
Nourished by a little rain
How simple is a tiny seed
How humble does it lie
In soil content mere speck
Bird’s treasure find to peck
Who would ever suspect
That yonder shading tree
Trunk and branches firm
Were within the tiny germ
Within name’s seed sown
In fertile mind’s pure soil
A picture formed arrives
Truth’s growth to realise
Prayer
O Lord Thy name is sweet nectar. By tasting its sweetness and following its trail, I come in adoration to Thy feet. Dare I look on Thy face so full of love that is love itself? Grant that Thy name be ever on my lips and Thy face be ever seen beaming all around.
