Thought
Not for food or fear I leap
But frolic in the spray I sweep
Splashing writhing acrobat
Blissful state my habitat
In ocean of pure ecstasy
My soul is swimming joyfully
Jumping joy uncoiled in me
Fish out of water is still free
No fisher net or worldly lair
Can catch me sailing through the air
My energy soars much higher than
Mere body of a mortal man
Prayer
O Lord, you are always here, but when my attention is pitched elsewhere it brings pain. May your energy not be wasted but gathered and offered back to thee in an upward surge of joy. Praise and thanks to thee as your joy unfolds in me.
