Thought

Enemies of self are hatred and blame,

They reap rewards of harming pain

On perpetrators who sowed the same,

Will immutable causal law remain

Reactions formed like taking tea

With folded arms and ego large

Refuse a drink with adversary

With stinging words as barrage

Some say “I drink in your company

Please take a sip, sit over there

I will tolerate you, as my enemy.”

And converse as far as they can bear

Enlightened ones will freely talk

And drink their tea with utmost love

Linked with the Divine, they walk

For no enemy exists below or above.

For perpetrators sowing pain,

The latter ones will surely pray

Compassion flows without restrain

Fully opening their holy way.

Prayer

O Lord, Thy Presence fills every corner. May I recognise Thee flowing everywhere and enjoy Thy company with friendliness to all, delight in the successful, compassionate for the suffering and indifference to those who criticise or praise.
