Thought
From noisy streets and market place
Turn longing gaze to see thy face
Where praising angels chant and tend
To king of body citadel
In shapes of living and of still
Inside and out does fullness fill.
While intent makes a pliant mould
To house the royal king’s household.
Like air that freely carries sounds
The Self within/without abounds. (1996)
Prayer
O Lord inside and pervading all, despite your loving gaze on me and my distracted attention pitched elsewhere; through your loving grace and out of compassion for us reveal your fullness that makes fearlessness and freedom our own.
