Even in midst of self- despair
Remember inner one still there
In war’s rubble aftermath
New generations make a path
Even in midst of self-regret
Remember life breath still set
Caught in vortex rise and fall
That wise investor did install
Even in midst of self-blame
Remember this is fleeting game
Played on this heartbeats’ drum
With heart strings love of everyone
Even in midst of streaming time
Remember thy nature is sublime
Contentment is in thankfulness
And joy expressed in usefulness
Prayer
O Lord thank you for the gift of remembrance. When negative thoughts assail the mind, you hold out your giving hands of hope in memories of a child’s delight. May my mind ever delight in Thee and no other that darkness may be kept and bay.
