Thought
Every morning greet the dawn,
With gladness for the rest that’s gone.
Fill heart with praise for early light,
That bathes the soul with calm insight.
Every evening make a list,
Of glorious days and thankfulness
For sunny natural light and true
For pristine skies unblemished blue
In contrast to the moody cold
Make haste to gather courage bold.
Decisions now will your life arraign,
For good or ill, for praise or blame
This second and the next command.
Resist rewards that desires demand.
Invest in goodness, truth and love,
That transcend below, beyond, above.
Prayer
Lord, every moment is your precious gift and yet I waste it in trivial pursuits, worries and anxieties. Grant me the faith in your constant loving presence and fill me with Thy glorious light as I remain tuned to Thy presented glory.
