Thought
Dappled leaves and slender trees
Shy sun behind the clouds to peep
Greens and browns, flowers wild
Their scent is sent to nose beguiled
Birds with sweet and chirpy song
Seeds on lawn a breakfast throng
Air fresh cold against the face
Soles on stones feel their embrace
Arms swing and legs move on
Diaphragm piston up and down
Attention diverted from it all
Is anxious for the dollar’s fall
Domestic quarrels what to do?
And all along foot moves in shoe
Oblivious to God drawing me
Eye missed the spirit in the tree
Prayer
O Lord forgive my wandering mind when you point out Your glory constantly. Grant me the faith to know that it is You who manage my affairs with Your energy. Thank You for Your spirit and Its Glory in all things.
