Thought

First projected forceful fire

In remnants scattered, widely spread.

Some seen as impish stars to wink,

At him who blinks in wonderment.

Knowledge dawns and suddenly

First light becomes reality.

From whence it came like thunderbolt?

‘twas inner lamp of guiding Self,

With comrades joy and truth and love

Proclaiming silent realm profound.

Prayer

Light up my soul O Lord with that light that lights all things. May I see it in a person’s eyes, in lightning and the sun and stars and as body heat. I thank and praise You for ever present Light. May that Light of Knowledge destroy our ignorance.
