Chief feature of the world

Is shifting constant change

More in thought and hope

To march toward tranquillity

For total peace and harmony

This total state is our own Self

That animates and endures

As long as we a difference see

Uneasy anxiety will always be

So face the sudden twists and turns

With humour and life skill acquired

A loving play with cut and thrust

Where failings used as lessons past

Peace found not in avoiding pain

But in learning how to play the game

Prayer

O Lord of the unexpected and unpredictable, I relish Thy company and sport. Thank you for equipping me well, so that I may know the essence in all and reveal it in the heart as my own Self of total Peace.
