Thought

Silk worms spin tirelessly

Eating leaves of mulberry

Illusions’ threads entangling

Weeping sorrows suffering

Loved ones lost are not our own

Belonging not to us or home

Veiled like some fine spun thread

Truth in truth nothing to dread

None penetrates the mystic play

That’s why Master used to say

Care not to understand this web

Pure devotion at thy feet instead

Prayer

O Lord my earnest prayer is simple; it is the prayer of a simple child. May I have pure devotion for thy feet and pure knowledge of Thee.
