Thought
Sitting on cold cave floor
Shadows vacillate before
Quickly dart there to here
Echo sounds reach the ear
Knowing not and not to look
Being bound head and foot
The only world in front befall
Are scenes projected on a wall
Few inclined for upward climb
To see how light and form align
To inhale breath of freedom’s air
Adjusting eyes to sun’s glare
How was I bound and why resist?
From conditional view I now desist
In fearful shadows bound engrossed
This journey told but ears are closed

A Thiarna chuir do scáth-shaoghal damhsa mé as mo mheabhair ach cuireann sé i bpríosún mé. Treoraigh sinn inár ndreap aníos áit a bhfuil do tine iomlán áthas ar an tsaoirse
Prayer
O Lord Thy dancing shadow world bewitched me but imprisons me. Guide us in our upward climb where Thy full blaze is freedom’s joy
