Thought
Of ancient militant tales she won
How power and evil had begun
All gathered force unite as one
How lust and greed are overcome
Yellow threads bind her to wrist
Reminding us of what we missed
With sixteen billion human arms
Dividing up her glorious charms
And seven billion human heads
Countless ways her glory spreads
Who else can conquer and protect?
Devotees lion’s strength will get
Mixed chants and tearful song
To waters’ ever mingling throng
A year away again in fall
Before she dons her winter shawl
She bears her mountain gifts of joy
New hope and love to all employ
Weapons, skills already yours
To wield with all mighty strength
No need to fear but seize the day
Directing mind from tempting sway
Prayer
Thou are the all-encompassing power of strength and love. Grant that Thy infallible power of thought be ever directed to Thee
