Magician skill diversion make
Mouths open and amazed in wake
Sleight of hand coins appear
Waive of wand they disappear
Clap hands at illusions shown
Children happily leave alone
Knowing how the tricks are done
Shriek excitedly at the fun
Short flash and life ‘s sparkle gone
Diversions of why whereupon
Of conjured magic filmy reels
Block thrill of what a child feels
Moon appears so greet with claps
Flowers in pose for photo snaps
Sun’s face glows so raise arms high
Don’t stop a dance to find out why
Glory to magician grand
Who is the ground on which we stand
Prayer
O Lord thank you for your appearances and displays. May my mind not be diverted from Thee. May I learn to see Thee through the illusion and enjoy Thy show with love unending.
