Thought
To keep the head above
Desperate struggles make
Falling in and out of love
Confounding ways to take
From first bright openings
Sense delight newly learned
Discovery in original things
Away from absence yearned
Longing is the path of love
Sacred words of knowledge
Hands with joy path of work
Stillness the meditation way
Fill up grace to thirst for that
Fill mind with a sacred name
Fill the time with work format
Fill heart with a burning flame
Prayer
O Lord increase my thirst for Thee that you make satisfy it; open my lips that I may praise Thee with Thy sacred name; move my hands that I may worship Thee; warm my heart that I may be Thee.
