Of sacred places, where is best?

Churches, rivers, forest scene?

Or where miracles have blessed

And holy atmosphere has been?

No, the holiest place by far

Is own sacred body here

Wondrous city this earth car

By which events outside appear

Imperial city of eleven gates

Belongs to steady one unborn

Its consciousness none shakes

Staying when awakenings dawn

Temples, festivals are only there

To remind us of this sacred fact

And for the mental field prepare

These scenic dramas to enact

Prayer

Lord, Thy Divine Glory beams from within and gives me a resting place far from the ocean’s roar. I resort to thy inner poised presence in Thy body citadel and with eyes open worship Thy royal presence in in all beings.
