Thought

Do people work hard but when compelled

By hunger, thirst, desire or greed?

Or artists sing, or paint for gain excelled

What food and drink alone they need?

We feel relaxed, delight abides

When time is spent on sport and art

A built-in urge for play resides

Found deep within the human heart

Cosmic Life in creatures sleeping,

Makes heart and lungs work all the same

That too is Sport. Its joy is keeping

Where Time and Motion start their Game

Prayer

O Lord, may I enjoy thy Creative Art & Sport in waking life where you alone are the Player and abide in you in sleep.
