Thought
Spinning round its axis earth
Thousand hourly miles as such
Shuttling orbits its sun’s girth
At sixty seven times as much
Four ninety miles an hour
We journey round a galaxy
And in every second power
Four hundred more by gravity
Looking down into the sky
Daily sleep work munch and sip
Will we pause to wonder why?
Oblivious to our dizzying trip?
Against infilling void abyss
At distances in space so vast
All-pervading spins the discs
Stand still, still time moves past
Prayer
O Lord thou art now, thou art here, thou art love. I am entangled in Thee. Grant that I may never lose sight of Thee amidst the small and petty issues of a small episode on a small planet in a small dot in the universe.
