Thought

At harvest end and winter dark

Twixt equinox and solstice now

Ancient burial mounds proclaim

Beginning of the Celt Samhain

Summer pastures now all spent

Bonfires burn with festive cheer

Opening gates to those worlds

Where spirits roam as smoke curls

Consider now all beings unseen

Ancestral hopes appeased in us

Hospitality shown to kindly kin

Prayer for souls and saints begin

Prayer

O Lord thy infinite grace extends to all beings in all the worlds. May our compassion also infinitely expand to embrace every name and form of Thee.
