Thought
Thinking ones ponder deep
At starry skies through tube peep
How did such vast array
Formed long ago remain today?
Why things fall and why race?
Why they move at dizzy pace?
Why inertia applies the brakes?
Why in between is void of space?
Creatures’ to earth are tied
So Creator is on throne outside
Or protected field occurred
So projection from eternal word
Nearer still one presence felt
Names and shapes in this will melt
In him we live, move and breathe
Truth of our being no truths exceed
Prayer
O Lord, in thee I live and move and have my being. Place your divine spell on me so that I may catch at least a glimpse of Thee as the all and beyond, one without a second, surging forth as life, like a roaring ocean entering itself. Glory to that One!
