Thought
Spirits rise none should despair,
Goodness spread and bounty share.
Rallying strength to face all danger,
And where challenge is, to dare.
Guided thus, to wise decision,
Ever of Thy grace aware,
Let our hearts beat bravely always
For the ones within Thy care.
Awaken now and slumber not
Put on armour pick up shield
Recall the nature you forgot
In battle fight not flee nor yield
Roaring in the mighty rivers,
Joining in one grand refrain,
Ascending to the sunlit heavens,
Telling of Thy honoured name.
Prayer
O Lord it is easy for our hearts to sink in the midst of wars, famine and epidemics; thou art our strength and comfort; when we remember you, our hearts lift and spirits soar. Grant us the gift of constant remembrance.
