Thought

Western isle remote and green

Sacred land of harp and song

Dotted sheep on hills in fields

Tales of gods and Fionn MacCumhaill

Saints and scholars were not weak

Their Celtic blood was fiercest streak

Their words struck hearts of lesser men

Their shining lives, their art and pen

Noble stock announced new dawn

A Brigid in Tyrone was born

Power, strength and virtue hold

As in the missionary days of old

Race toughened by Atlantic wind

Resolve that cold could not rescind

Burning flame of zeal for cause

Revolutions over oppressive laws

Each soul Divine should mankind know

In Éire this message too should go

Inspired by Irish heart and blood

From here this news the world will flood

Hearken all with Om as bell

That rings out true at Ladyswell !!

Prayer

O Divine Helmsman; your grace has flowed in your own time at your own pace in the sacred pilgrimage area of Our Lady’s well. Your inspiration on the one side was matched by your response on the other. Blessed art thou.
